They are fairly distinctive looking, but could be a cross-breed.
Also not sure how old they are.

Can anyone let me know how old these barred rock chickies are?

I think 6 weeks.

How about the muskovies?
I think they are about 6 weeks too - so cute!!

does the first chick have feathered legs?
Your chicks and your duck look younger than 6 weeks IMO...
My ducks at 6 weeks were HUGE and you had to carry them with both hands or under your arm like a football.

My 6 week old chicks are fully feathered and are pretty big... unless of course you have bantams, but then they should be feathered more.

Is the last one a hen or a roo? I am not good with the BR.... if it is a hen and laying eggs it is probably over 18 weeks.... (Someone correct me if I'm wrong... none of mine are laying yet, but that tends to be what I read). The comb looks red enough to be either a roo or a laying hen.

Let me take a stab, what color legs does the first one have, and are they feathered, how many toes...need shots of that stuff, looks to be about oh, a week old?

2nd one, possibly a Barred Rock, pullet, maybe around 2 weeks old (?)

don't know anything about ducks, sorry, but adorable!

Your BR at the end, I would say pullet, only because it resembles my pullets, and does NOT look like my roos

Chick #1 Does have furry feet! I just noticed that at chicken dinner-time tonight. 3 toes (don't all chickens have the same?).
There were TON of Cochin chicks at the sale, is that what they could be?

I'm really new to chickens/ducks so I'll believe 2 weeks

. I've been looking at other pictures too & while mine look feathered to me, they definitely aren't by comparison to other chickies!

The last one is SUPPOSED to be a roo, but even the other chicken people were a little stumped because of the small/dull comb. He/she has also been herding around the chickies, and being very motherly... so not so sure about that one! Either the sweetest roo in the world, or another hen (either way we're happy!)

It is a black sex link, It looks like a hen, Usually the comb develop faster then the wattles, In this case the wattles are longer then the comb, So I say hen.

Great looking chicks and chickens but please remember when ever getting new birds to quarantine for 30 days just to be safe. I would say that the chicks are maybe just a week or so old. Mine where getting wing feathers at a week old. Not sure one the feathered one. On the question about toes Silkies have 5 toes on each foot. That is why people ask that questions. Jenny is a black sex link I have one that looks a lot like her I love their personalities.

We decided not to quarantine, I know it's safer, but we're not really that attached to Hen & Pen, in fact they may be heading for the stock pot, so we felt it was a gamble worth taking. All the birds were exposed to each other and to other birds at the auction anyway so we weren't going to keep them away from each other. Once we've got an established flock we'll quarantine new arrivals.

Mystery chicks huh?

Oh well, maybe someone will be able to tell me when they get a bit bigger, I can wait.
