What is killing my chickens?!

I think he can make a given raccoon not want to come back.
I don't. If it was close enough that raccoon will come back, heck he might even get caught in the same trap. I understand that people don't want to kill animals but they have to be managed. In my opinion a raccoon that is killing chickens is a perfect management animal. It's not like you're going deep into the woods and killing one for no reason. Plus if it's still on the property it's reproducing more on that property.
 
I had a problem with coons a few years back, one night I heard a lot of commotion in the coop. I shined a flash light and saw a family of racoons trying to brake in. They ran up one of the nearby trees and out of five only one made off the tree alive.
