Hey..ever made a mistake before? Ever thought something was one way and it wasn't and oh-my-goodness, you turned out to be WRONG? If not, then you are the most incredibly pure and brilliant human being on this planet. I applaud you.
Putting you on? Ummmm...no. I have MUCH better things to do. Trust me.
I had suspicions that Lola was a boy, but when I saw Louise (yes, Louise is a boy too) mate with Lola, I thought maybe I was wrong...that maybe Lola was just a pretty fancy female. She'd never even crowed until two weeks ago and THAT'S not even normal. I've always said she's from another planet bc she's such an odd bird.
I bought my chicks with the understanding they were all girls and named them based on that. I was a newbie to chickens and have since learned I will NEVER buy chicks again based on
TSC sexing capabilities! We ended up with 50% males.
At any rate, the names stuck. I don't care one way or the other that their names don't match their private parts.
Getting confirmation that Lola is a boy has been great! My suspicions have been confirmed by all the "experts"-I'm very happy about it!
I will still call her a she, she will still be my favorite lap chicken and I will love her just the same-boy, girl, homosexual or hermaphrodite! She's a love bug and that's all I care about.
So does anyone know what breed she is?!
ETA: Before I forget..I HAVE posted here before about ALL my chickens (even the boys) having girls' names and the reasoning behind it, ....putting you all on? For what?!?!?! So I made a mistake in identifying the sex of my bird-is that a mortal sin? Have I commited a crime? No. I simply made a mistake. I came to ask a question, not to be judged. :rolleyes
