What is Lola?

Hey, if it makes you feel better, I have a hen thats named " Frank". We named the eggs before they hatched to make it a little more personal. That is a really beautiful roo! I am sure he doesn't mind being called " Lola". TSC has no clue as to what they sell. I went in there and looked at all the babies and asked what they were, and they shrugged their shoulders. Well, they lost my sale if they can't even give me an idea of what I was buying. Good luck with your roo, tell him he needs to start crowing more manly now that you know he is a "he".. Beautiful bird.. Umm, I mean Handsome!

Ya know I was reading a question in back yard poulty about a lady whose female pea fowl started growing feathers of the male bird. The answer had to do with ovaries and that hers may have gone bad. This cause her to produce testosterone and take on the characteristics of a male. This is of course a simple and shortened version of the answer.
