I think it's used to help if your Showing your birds like you mentioned with the shiny feathers and over all health. So I guess it's possiable it could help with the breeding activity since your birds will be healthier

The breeding activity they have in mind is the hatchability or viability of the eggs produced. One of the if not the main reason for chicks dying in the shell is because of a poor diet in the brood fowl, that means both mother and father. I always added Manna, Calf Manna in my case to the poultry ration.
