What is Mimsy??? Confused hen or rooster?

So I have six EE's that I got when they were 4 weeks old from a local breeder that were supposedly all female. Now they are a little over 6 months.
I have this one I call Mimsy because she (or he) is just the stupidest chicken ever. Recently, Mimsy started making this really annoying noise. She'll stretch her neck and just make this short, loud "ERRR" over and over again. Then I noticed that she started jumping on top of some of the other chickens and pecking them on their heads. Now the other chickens squat down when she runs at them like they know what she expects. But Mimsy has all rounded feather tips like the others, she's actually smaller than most of them too. Her comb is smaller and not as red as the others. She's also not protective of the other chickens at all. She's the first to run away!

So what the hell is Mimsy?? A confused hen, or a useless rooster?

Here's a pic. Mimsy is the mostly white one on the left.

I can't believe that is a roo at all. Maybe she's just the dominate female and putting the others in their place. Our dominate female jumps on top of even our younger roos and grabs their necks just to make sure they know where they are in the pecking order. At 6 months our EE roo was way bigger than the girls and had a huge comb.

She appears to be a hen; is it a rooster or hen? Depends, it looks like a pullet but appears to be taking on rooster characteristics so it is possible it may be a hen-feathered rooster; usually a roosters comb is much more developed by this stage but not all the time.

Second guess would be being that there may not be a rooster in the flock she feels it is her responsibility to take the place of one (as some hens will do). Easiest way to tell is wait until the bird is a bit older, or if the other pullets are laying now check the eggs to see if they're fertile. Even if she assumes the roosters position she will still lay an egg unless she is a faulty hen and in such case I'd probably cull her (she would be good for nothing other than looking at her, so why continue feeding her unless she is a close pet?).

Good! I knew she was just a crazy chicken. I've been planning on getting them a marans rooster so i can breed olive eggers. Maybe he'll set her straight and put her in her place!

Thanks guy so much for the feedback!
