What is my 8 week old Orpington

x2...Orpingtons don't have feathered feet.

BTW it is always best to photograph the bird standing in profile, not being held.

I agree that is quite a bit of comb and wattles for 8 weeks, but they look very pale in the photo, so I wouldn't leap to rooster yet...watch and wait.

EDITED TO ADD: if those are feathers on the outside toe, she might be a Black Copper Marans...which at 8 weeks is very likely a hen as Marans roo's have significant red combs by then.

Post a full body profile while the bird is standing on its own to help with further identification.

8 weeks is too early for sex feathers, those pointy hackle and saddle feathers.

I'm not seeing anything screaming rooster at this point. Orpingtons can be pretty slow to mature, though, so you may not know for sure until a few months old.
