I have a guinea--or maybe it's different ones doing this--who keeps sitting on a "nest," even though there are no eggs in it. She/they will go under a blackberry bush/brush into a depressed area, sit there for awhile, and then eventually join the rest of the flock. They are 16 wks. old so it seems early for them to be laying, no? Also, pretty sure we have 2 males and 4 females although the one male is questionable as the wattles on "him" are not nearly as big/cupped as the definite male. None of them show any signs of sickness or injury--they are all completely healthy and happy. Any ideas?
