What is my mystery chick?

Does anyone have a guess as to breed or sex?

How old? Looks like a Seabright I have 2 of them

7 week. Got them on March 30. This was the mystery chicken from McMurray.

Okay, I may be totally wrong. But I posted a picture of my mystery bird from MMM and so did another BYC'er and they all seem to look suspiciously alike-though they were all sent out at different dates.

The general consensus for ours (the other person and I) was that they were Silver Spangled Hamburgs. Maybe MMM, had a surplus!

What do you think, does your look anything like this?

ETA:Forgot to add that mine seems to have a blue or purplish earlobe and everyone who posted seem to think mine was a pullet.

It does. One person said it looks like a silver seabright and I looked at a chick picture of the seabright and mine at 1 day old looked like that as well. But the seabright is a bantam chicken.

I think you may be right. I just went on McMurray hatchery and saw the picture of the chicks and it looks exactly like that when I received it. What to you think about the sex?

I am really happy with our mystery chick and actually have SSH hatching eggs being shipped to me right now so I can hopefully have several more of the same to keep her/him company!

So many different breeds of chickens.....and I want some of each......boy is my husband scared!
