I appreciate that. Our other hen is an Ameracauna named Hawk. They both started laying eggs about 3-4 weeks ago.
What a treat! We used to have 6 other hens, but they were either killed by hawks or a fox, or they got sick and died.
We did get 6 chicks, 3 buff orpingtons and 3 ameracaunas.
We are having so much fun with them, and they have gotten so big so fast. They will be 6 weeks old this Saturday. One of the ameracaunas is a rooster, longer tail, bigger than the others. I guess we will need to find him a new home because we have our Herman.
Its been such an experience and we enjoy them soooooo much!
