What a pretty little girl!

You are very astute to note the color difference. What you are seeing is evidence that your bird is a female. The barred gene is linked to the X chromosome. Thus, females, who get two copies, have much heavier barring that results in an overall darker look. Males, who only get one copy of the barred gene, have much lighter barring, which results in a lighter color overall.

Just going by the light colored comb and the black down the front of the legs, I'd say BR pullet as well. How old is she?

She is 14 weeks and is the most shy of all of my kiddos. DH got her wanting dark brown eggs, but he thinks she is a Maran?

She does look more cuckoo than barred, to me. Your husband might be right! A barred rock pullet should have yellow legs with a dark wash. It looks like your bird has whitish-gray legs.
