What is on my chicken's butt?? (And how do I get rid of it?)

I noticed this evening that my 1yo buff orpington (Pearla) has a... Growth of some sort just above her tail feathers.

Recently she has lost some feathers due to over mating with out rooster, and has been wearing a saddle. This growth is surrounded by other feathers growing in. Can Chickens get an ingrown feather as humans get an ingrown hair? How do I fix it? Or is it some parasite that I need to dig out

I'm sure there's a technical name for it, but it's an oil gland that they use to clean and condition their feathers.

That looks like your chicken's oil gland, which is perfectly normal.
