What is she doing?

I have a 4 week old chick named bindi. Last night I noticed she was doing this weird th ing where she kind of looked like a bullfrog. Her neck was pulsing along with her tail. I an very interested in what the heck she was doing.

A cause of the pulsing throat is probably a respiratory infection but if her tail is also pulsing she might just be being weird. I honestly dont know.

Yea my Bindi is the weird one in the pack so I guess that is to be expected. I actually thing maybe she was impersonating a bullfrog!

Doubt that, but that's a funny thought!

Doesn't sound like normal chicken behavior. I'd keep an eye on her.

When they breathe their whole body often moves.
They don't have diaphragm like we do so their rib cages expand with each breath.
