I cannot post a photo at this time, no camera, but would like help if anyone can.
I am pretty sure it is a hen, and a bantam. body is black with white barring her head and neck is a golden color. very small comb and wattles. she has white fuzz on her ear lobes, the long flight feathers are white or light gold, she has a very up right tail. she is very small when compared to my LF girls.
I work at a Vet clinic, and I got a call today from one of our other clinics that they had a 'wild' chicken, and would I take it. She is not a wild or even a feral chicken. This has been someones pet. she is very friendly and sweet. When I let her out of the crate when I got home, she jumped into my lap and made herself right at home. The poor thing has frost bite on her wattles, and the toes on one of her feet are very swolen and the tips of them have been frozen off. I think the poor little girl got lost before this last cold spell (-15) and couldn't find her way home. We are going to have -20 the next 2 days, I don't think she would have made it. I have her in my basement right now, and will keep her in till after this cold spell.

A photo will help a lot... but I'll try my best. It could be a Ameracuna, but not positive. Has she laid at all? Get a picture up soon and hopefully I will be able to see what the little darling is.

Kudos to you for saving her!

With the "crazy" array of colors (that doesn't sound anything like an accepted APA color), and upright tail - she would be an EasterEgger, not Ameraucana.

Though, pics would be nice if possible. Does she have a beard as well?

I just got her last night, so no eggs yet, that would be cool if she would lay a colored egg. She does not have a beard. she is so sweet, I wish I could find who lost her & will keep an eye on the lost and found, but if not she has a home here. Do the bantam go broody more than LF, maybe she will be a good broody. I'll try to get a photo.

Photos added of my new hen (I hope). She also has a little bit of feathering on 1 foot. any ideas

Her body type looks like a game bantam X.
How big is she? It doesn't look like any EE that I have ever seen.
I think you've got something more interesting there.
Here's a bump. Hopefully one of the gamers will happen by...

She does look like both of the above, but I don't think she has a rose comb, I've never seen one in person, just photos. Does she look old enough to be laying? Her comb and wattles are sort of red, but very small. Any idea on age.
It is a she right?
