what is she. ** Photos added**

It looks more like a rose comb then a straight comb in the pictures. If she has some feathering on her leg then she's probably a mix of some kind. Neither of the 2 likely breeds have leg feathering to my knowledge . For some reason the back of her head looks puffy, does she have a bump there? She looks old enough to start laying.

That is an Egyption Fayoumi, I just IDed one for my neighbor the other day

Here is a hen-

I don't see any feathers on her shanks.

She's no EE. She's a campine IF she's purebred - Fayoumis are far too rare, and she isn't dark enough for a hamburg. He temperament is more attuned to what a campines might be (some are friendly, while Fayoumis/Hamburgs are very flighy). I still can't tell comb type from the pics, but it doesn't look rose to me.

If she is purebred, she's not very well bred. But I don't think any of the breeds should have dark faces like that.

i agree there was a man at the local flea market with alot of those i was thinking it might be mixed with silkie seeing as the dark skin and the feathers on the leg its surely not a pure breed

True, they are offered at hatcheries - but so are other rare breeds. They are more rare to my knowledge than any of the others listed.

If the OP's hen is from a hatchery she could be either a Fayoumi, Campine or and most likely a cross between the 2 breeds.

I'm sure she's from a hatchery, she may have been something from TSC last summer. She does look like both of the breeds, but her comb is much smaller, and she is darker on the breast area, but that might just be bad breeding. Her ear lobes look more like the Fayoumi. Its fun to know what I might have. I have no idea how old she is, and I don't know if there is any way to tell. She has not laid an egg yet, but with what she has been through I don't really expect her to.
