What is she?!?

Once and for all.. What do I have here? People say starlight green Eggar and yes she does lay small green eggs but the combs that I see on other SGEs are way different. By the way, what would you guys classify her comb as?

She's an Easter Egger. Many hatcheries have created their own hybrids and given names to such as "Starlight Egger" or "Prairie Bluebell", but they're still considered Easter Eggers. Easter Eggers have no standard so they can look very different from each other. The only real criteria that most people agree on is that they lay blue or green eggs.

Thanks for clarifying. It's confusing..lol!! Would you agree that this is an americauna? Or Easter egger also? She's not laying (I don't think) she doesn't squat either but same age. That's what made me think that she is in fact an Americauna because they start laying later.

Did you buy her from a hatchery (and if so, which?) or a breeder? AmerAUcanas are a true bred with an SOP. AmerIcanas are hatchery mix Easter Egger that sometimes resemble true Ameraucanas, but aren't.

SOP is an abbreviation for Standard of Perfection. When a breed has a standard, it means that the birds are supposed to look a certain way. If she came from TSC she is most likely an Easter Egger.
