it depends on the usage -- could be "standard operating procedure", "standards of performance" or maybe standards of presentation... ?? dunno, really...

Standard of Perfection when applied to birds.

Standards of Perfection, aka American Standards of Perfection. The book by which chicken breed standards are made and judged by. You can by a copy from the American Poultry Association.

Standard of Perfection. Basically the "bible" to poultry, which tells the standards for all breeds accepted to the American Poultry Association. It tells what the characteristics of each breed and their colors are.
