Its here!. Its raining!!!

It hasn't rained here in over a month and it hit 90 yesterday. My pasture is crunchy.

Supposed to be a 30% rain chance today so maybe we'll get some.

We are still under a burn ban, it hasn't rained to amt to anything for 2 months. Yesterday was a 60% chance and it rained a total of about 60 seconds.

Yeah Joedie...we got the short burst yesterday evening, but did get some more early am, because it woke me up. We've been smelling Fort Knox's fires all the way up here for the past several days...so hopefully this helped. Maybe what's left of my lawn won't crunch so much for a few days... Grass should NOT be crunchy

It poured for 36 hours Saturday and Sunday. Was WONDERFUL!!! Unfortunately, it was also windy, so the chickens weren't as happy in it as they could have been. (Blows their feathers the wrong way, doncha know?) The Cayuga pair were in heaven, though! If they weren't dabbling in puddles, they were flapping wings or running pell-mell all over the place.

Today is gorgeous and fresh and all the poultry are all over the place having a wonderful time. The ducks are resting.
