What is the average loss for turkey poults?

no, no, no, I am not putting 200 chicks with the 15 poults

I was more along the lines of 5 chicks just to show poults. The link to Mother Earth was great! All the reading I done thru the web, that article gave me even more insight. Again, I really appreciate a forum like this being around. I had nothing but quick answers that are truly helpful.

yeah that wouldnt hurt anything, but it's not needed. First hand experience over many years of keeping both domestic and wilds. They arent that stupid, they can figure it all out in about 5 minutes from being put in a brooder. Like I said eariler, dip their beak in the water 1 time, done, and food really comes natural to them, they have an instinct to peck at things anyway. Any how, I have never had to use starter chicks on turkeys. As STARTER chicks they dont hurt a thing though, but once they are eating you do need to remove the chicks if you are concerned with overall heath of both, it's not good to rasie them both together in one brooder.
