What is the bare minimum for homemade incubator

All of this makes it REAL nerve racking!!!

It so happens that this weekend my cats went crazy while I was gone and broke one of my lamps.

So I took that light bulb part and stuck it threw the side of my styrofoam cooler, put two ceramic cooking containers in the bottom with water, a screen over those, my pool themometer (have to get something better), and the lid back on it. My first test run them got up to 95-100 f which I figured i could work out the odds and ends to get it to 100. Then I noticed a hole on the top...my light was burning a hole threw the top.

So brainstorming a better lid idea now. Hubby called and asked how I was doing and said please don't burn down the house.
