You should add that last paragraph to your the bottom of your page. Like the area I put mine in.Hey Cynthia. Well it has gotten as cold as -14 degrees Celcius which is about 3 or 4 degrees F and I was quite worried about my babies, but they seemed ok because they have been climatizing very well and others have told me that they are pretty tough. I have decided that if it gets to 0 degrees F I may turn the heat lamp on for a little while at night to take the chill off. I don't want them to get use to it tho. I find it very trying raising chickens in our Canadian winter. I also shovel paths for them![]()
I have to change my entire set up for the chickens in the spring. My coop and run are too small,, I can't get to the eggs very easily to gather them, but I guess that's how you learn but my poor chickens have suffered due to my ignorance . . . . . .I hope they recover all right
I also am thankful to the Lord for my 11 Barred Rocks, one cat, one dog, one husband (who has stuck around thru this chicken insanity) and soon to come "rabbits".
