What type of Dumor do you use? It seems to be the only brand that is respectable and available to me, but theres so many different types of it! Help?

I only have access to a couple feeds too. I bought my chickens the Dumor Grower/Finisher feed. They are over 10 weeks but not old enough for the 18 wks or over laying feed. Hope that helps.

This is what I feed, but what is all the powdery stuff in it? The Countryside I mean.

I ordered some organic feed through Amazon. shipping costs more than the feed, but it looks like its all food and not a bunch of powder.

I give my girls my grass clippings all the time!!! They love love love it!!! It's my lawn, so I know there are no chemicals on it. I stopped any lawn care since I got my chickens. Other than that, I started out with Dumor, but now I have switched to Purina, both non-medicated. I put 1Tblsp of Braggs ACV(with the mother) in 1 gallon of water. This is what my girls have drank since they were 1 week old. The vinegar builds and maintains the immunity.

I feed mine ALL GRAIN LAYING CRUMBLES from southern states. I also scatter some cracked corn in their run during the day.it helps them to hold body heat.how many girls you got 9 pines.i got 5 and 1 roo.by the way im in Virginia.where are you at?

We own a pet boarding kennel. When it's hot outside, the open doggie doors attract a lot of flies as they prefer the coolness inside. Since I can't use pesticides to kill the flies, I suck them up with a battery powered handi-Vacuum. Then I throw the dead flies to the chickens. They love them.
Also I put damp cardboard near our fruit trees where we have a lot of earwigs. They congregate under the cardboard and I scrape them into a bucket for the chickens. The chickens like them just as much as the dead flies. Bugs are a really good source of free protein.
