What is the best cockrel to put in with Golden Comets?

you're in Ohio! There are some great Buckeye breeders there-- one is a member of this forum-- Dave (can't think of his BYC handle) but if you ask about Buckeyes, someone will surely know him on here-- he has some nice birds . . .

you are still welcome to one of mine . . . they do well in the State of origin!

Troyer, you asked my opinion on gentle roos. I've had good luck with Orpingtons, but they are pretty big. If you want something a little more moderate in size, I would suggest New Hampshire Red or Black Australorp. Both are typically gentle and easy to handle, but there is certainly no guarantee when it comes to roosters.

You could have My golden Comet Roo's

I don't know. I made some " dog eat poo, is gross" comment and he got all bent out of shape.

Maybe its not the same Dave. I will try to find a buckeye roo, though. The New Hampshire Red sounds fine too.

Thanks
