What is the best feed option for ducks?

Peas, oatmeal, cooked eggs, canned corn.... stuff like that. Ducks are resilient, they fly from Canada to Mexico and eat all sorts of stuff on their journey 😀

Mazuri’s waterfowl feed is very nice. More than enough niacin, and the food floats in the water, which is very fun for the birds. It’s on the pricier side, though.

I personally give Purina’s duck feed as their main feed and give Mazuri as a treat.

This is an interesting question. I am averse to highly manufactured food. My family don't eat much in that category [except ice-cream] and for a year now I have been feeding my dogs home cooked food rather than kibble. I was able to thoroughly research dogs nutritional requirements and so working out home recipes was easy.

My ducks get peas and meal worms/soldier fly worms as treats and free range where they help themselves to my veggies but avoid the weeds!!

I would like not to have to feed my ducks pellets [They are on all flock]. But when I look at the nutritional content of organic scratch grains, its not enough protein let alone other requirements. Does anyone have a recipe for complementing scratch grains to make fully nutritious feed for my ducks?
