I have a Golden Laced Wyandotte Cochin that went broody in July and hatched 3 eggs, then went broody again 2 weeks later and is now hatching out 11 eggs as we speak. I had 2 GLWCs and gave one to a friend when they both went broody at the same time. I just didn't need that many broodys or new babies, especially this time of the year. Luckily I have a home for this whole batch of new babies. My 5 month old Frizzle banty went broody and I found 2 tiny babies under her today with two more ready to hatch. My last Frizzle banty also was a great brooder and mama, but none compare with my GLWC. They are the absolute best, plus they are very gentle hens and good layers.

You will not find many adult hen's that will get along right away. Chicken's don't like change once they get used to there surround's. Creature's of habit just like us human's. Game hen's don't have the attitude that there roo's do. What I have found that work's is if the coop and run are big enough than the hen you are trying to add has somewhere to escape. They need there there own space so to speak. If the area is large enough than once they get close to each other the aggressor will charge the other one and once they have enough space between them it's over. My game hen's are just like any of my other bird's. I wouldn't be afraid to mix them with any of my other bird's. Hopefully eventually they will get along. I would keep an eye on them just to make sure a hen isn't getting bullied to where it's harmful to it's life. This same pratcise apply's to any bird's I would mix. But don't worry they are not fighter's like there roo's. I will alway's keep game hen's just for sitting. Good luck PEACE
