I have young kids that will want to play with and handle the ducks. What breed would be most likely to enjoy that kind of interaction, if any?

Thanks

Call ducks! Not only are they friendly, but they are the most adorable creatures on the face of the earth.

When I was doing research about what ducks are friendly (When I was going to get a couple as pets, ended up getting two geese instid for now) many people said Cayuga and Peking were very friendly towards people. They said Call ducks were friendly but also very noisy. I didn't want something too noisy so I steered away from the call ducks when I decided which breed I wanted to get. (I just ended up changing the type of bird instid) Good luck with the breed you get!!

My call ducks are not friendly, yet, but I do not think they have been very socialized. I have two girls and they are not very loud at all as long as I keep them together and don't try to catch them to coop at night.

nutmeggie, what kind of geese did you end up getting? Was it because they are friendly? I think we need something bigger than call ducks. My daughter really wants Cayugas.
