This is my first time incubating pheasants eggs. I was told that the percentage hatch rate is lower than 50%. Is this right?

Quote:
NO! Hatch rate depends on MANY factors- and are you considering the hatch rate on just fertile eggs or the hatch rate on all eggs first set.

Either way:
depends on condition of breeder birds
depends on incubation methods
depends on age of eggs before incubation
depends on humidity & temp during incubation
depends on humidity during hatch
depends on if eggs were shipped

It does not matter if they are duck, chicken, pheasant etc

One person may have almost a 100% and the next may have 0%
