I read that the black, white, black or black, buff, black color pattern (when found on other birds) is just called lakenvelder? This is the first I've ever seen that, and I don't think it's right. But I need confirmation and can't find any online.

I know what he is, you apparently didn't read the post. If the pattern was on a different breed of chicken (whether gold, buff, white, purple, whatever--with black head and tail) what would it be called?

Again, I'm not asking what he is. I KNOW what breed and color my rooster is. I'm asking what the COLOR PATTERN, if found on a DIFFERENT BREED OF CHICKEN, is called.

Thank you to anyone who fully reads the primary post before responding

I read on another site that other breeds (Old english for example) that have this color pattern are simply called 'lakenvelder Old English'....meaning 'lakenvelder' as the color. Lakenvelder is the breed, and I've never seen it in reference to the color of a bird, so I want to know what this color pattern is called if it were on a different breed, such as an Old English.

By color pattern, I mean things like columbian and duckwing. These often refer to the color and pattern of a bird, but do not correspond to any certain breed.

The name of the "Black, white, black" or "black, buff, black" pattern.
