What is the proper term for this color?

Blue? Lavender? Something else...? We hatched a few of our own eggs this spring and these fellows are about 14 weeks now and the product of a Danish Brown Leghorn hen and a wheaten colored Americana/EE rooster.

Also, we plan on keeping one and giving away the other. The darker one in the background of this picture is more dominant, darker colored, and his single comb is larger and flops over one eye. I live in a warm climate so frost damage is not an issue. The father roo will remain in the same flock and is very calm and friendly. Which cockerel would you recommend keeping? I like the look of the darker with his larger comb, but I don't want the secondary roo to challenge my older one who I love as he keeps a nice calm flock and is easy to handle. Thought appreciated!
