What is the sandy Substance on my Production Reds eggs?

She started laying eggs with this substance on them about 2 months ago and has continued to do so. Her eggs previously were smooth and uniform in color. This substance washes off, but I'd really like to know what this is. None of my other hens have this on their eggs. Can anyone tell me what causes this?

There is nothing to worry about,this is dried mucous that is produced when the hen lays it's egg,to facilitate the passage of the egg from the body of the hen. Make sure your bird has access to a good water supply and Calcium ,Grit etc.this should help eliminate this problem​
