What is the smallest standard egg chicken?

Like the Q states, I want to find a chicken that is for egg laying and the standard size, just the smallest of them. If that makes sense.


Ok, have to add this since I forgot about it, opps.

They need to be no where near flighty and fairly docile.

Being an interesting color/pattern is a plus, lol.

My production reds weigh 4 to 5 pounds and lay extra large eggs all year round.

yeah leghorn are lean and prduce many eggs thats probably your best choice
 
Leghorns are definitely flighty, they do lay like crazy though. My suggestion would be EEs (Easter Egger), all of mine are on the small side, lay pretty regularly, are very friendly even with being on the low end of the pecking order, and are very colorful (feathers and eggs).
