I understand I will have a split hatching of pekin/Muscovy cross and Muscovy. I am letting the girls naturally sit on the nest (pekin and Muscovy in the same nest). Once the ducklings hatch from the shorter incubation (pekin cross) I will assume (new at this) the hen will turn her attention to the ducklings. I plan to take the remaining eggs and incubate them till hatching (hopefully only 5-7 days). I have researched homemade incubators. Does anyone have experience with this? Ideas of my potential success rate of the Muscovy babies? Just curious. I will share my experience after the fact as I googled my challenge and did not find any internet assistance .:hmm

I would treat it like when a broody quits half way. Since you can anticipate this one, have the incubator running before hand. It takes time for the incubator to reach a steady temp and humidity and you don't want to have to tinker with it while the eggs are inside.
