What is the temp for a Little Giant still air?***YEAH 7 chicks now****

Woke up this AM and had 7 chicks in the bator. Humidity is steady at 70%. I really am surprised that it has held so steady!! Temp is steady, too. 102 degrees. I have like 5 that are pipped, but they are lazy I guess. I sure hope they come on out.

I do have one more question. The one that first hatched and a couple of the others are panting. I know it's hot and humid in there. They are not fluffy out yet. Is it too humid in there for them to fluff out? Should I move them to the brooder?

I know there are people who will say don't open the bator for any reason, but when my chicks were panting, I reached in really quick and pulled them out and put them in the brooder. Temp and humidity will drop just slightly, but comes back up pretty quick .. (I had a LG also) ..

And, um, a thread like this requires pictures ....

You're right about the pics, but they aren't all fluffy yet. The little black frizzle cochin has the fuzziest little feet, so cute. I think I'm gonna move some of them out to the brooder. Thanks!

Editted to add that I did take some pics and I'm trying to download them on my other laptop, but it keeps crashing. Guess it is a cuteness overload!

Congrats on the babies! And thanks for the information on the LG. I guess I was sort of unclear in my description of my bator. I started with a still-air and then added the fan. My humidity is running around 40%. So I guess I should just add a sponge with water when they go into lockdown? Is this how everybody raises humidity in an LG? The troughs are full. Thanks for your help. Look forward to pictures!
