This animal sneaked into my chickens coop. I am wondering if it is dangerous? I tried to identify it, is it mink? I live in central new jersey. This is the first time I saw it. I have since fortified my coop, so far i am luck enough to avoid any casualties. I feel it is a predator. Does anyone know what is it? I what else precaution should I do? trap it? Thanks for any advice.

No, it is not a danger to your chickens.
They're primarily herbivores (eat plants) and can eat insects if they find them.

As others noted, it looks like a young woodchuck or groundhog to me. It's not dangerous by itself but if it's getting in there so can lots of other less pleasant things.
