Hey yall, just had a customer send us this
Resized_20240701_071917_1719838247152.jpeg
picture. They said it has been in multiple eggs from the most recent 4 doz they purchased from us and this is the first time that they have seen this from our eggs. They did not know if it was coming from a specific egg color. They have been buying from us for about 2 years. Any idea what it is?

Zoom in and you will see that this is a little chick embryo that has already formed.
Your eggs need to be collected at least once per day so your hens don't get the chance to sit and brood them.

Clockwise showing head, beak and wing.

The chick in your picture has had about 10-12 days of incubation, so pretty far along without you noticing that at least one if not more of your hens are broody.

This makes me think that your chicken and egg management needs some serious updating.

Thats a chicken in that egg. Do you just sell eggs without candling or knowing how fresh they are? If someone had eaten that egg, they could have gotten sick. Seriously, candle your eggs and try to collect them earlier on.
