What is this Brahma breed?

These were sold has Brahma chicks from Tractor Supply. As the buff(?) colored have grown, their combs are not the breed standard pea comb and appear to be coming in as a single comb. Any idea what they are?

Too early to tell.

I think they are buff Cochins. Feathered feet, bigger and heavier like a Brahma, but have single combs.

I doubt they’re mixes since they’re from a feed store/hatchery and not a backyard farm or something. I second the Cochin idea.

And yes I know hatcheries often have all sorts of weird hybrids and mixes and stuff now so it can be possible but I just don’t think that’s the case here

Looks like they have white skin/shanks. Brahmas and Cochins both should have yellow.
Not sure brahma crosses would have a single comb either.
But hey it's TSC so any guess would be as good as the next one.

Does your TSC order from Hoover's as mine does?

If so, possibly French wheaten Marans for the buff looking ones.
