At first I thought it was a crop bump, but it seems that it is an actual bump or am I wrong? More to the left side of the chick front, quite hard to the touch... Difficult to take photos to show it, as it is not very eye catching.
Edit: Further to my research I think it may be crop impaction. The chicks are outside for several hours since the temperatures are hitting 90s all the time. I did sprinkle some finer shells to them today since didn't buy yet fine type yet suitable for chicks...
Can I treat it somehow?
Help a novice, I'm in distress...

I think that's just the crop. Keep an eye on it and see if the bump goes away overnight.
I did a small edit to my earlier post. I think it's possible they need more grit...😩 I didn't know it can be so serious I thought they could wait a couple of days since I started to put them on the grass...

It's the crop.
Don't stress. Just ensure they get grit as soon as possible. I would start the treatment instantly, but they may not need it. I haven't tried that treatment myself.
What have they eaten, apart from their ordinary chick feed?
It's normal for their crops to go like this. Just wondering what they've been fed.

They were on the grass in a caged square for a number of days now. The cage is not so large, I have just 3 chicks.
so whatever they found - possibly some broken off cones, grass, small bugs. I also fed them some dried worms as a snack and their regular chick starter. 😳

They were always on grass? Nowhere near gravel, soil, ect?
Don't worry too much. Chances are they'll be ok.
Get some fresh earth, with grit in, and let them scrabble in it.

Well grass and soil I guess. I moved them and some dry grass spots with very dry clay soil were for sure around. Fingers crossed!
