What is this chicken?

East Egger bin at the farm store. Smaller than the EE’s but seems to have a heavier body than a bantam. Flies like one though. Is this a seebright?

It looks like a gold laced Wyandotte, it has a pea comb not a single comb, how old is it? I suspect cockerel, but the pics don’t show the comb too well.

I'm going to vote Golden Seabright since the comb's picture is not that great. At that age a pea comb and rose comb are difficult to identify. You said it flies well and that does fit a seabright to a T. Would love to see pictures once its grown up a bit. Either way it'll be a gorgeous bird.

Plus, seabrights are TINY, even for bantams. It's much too large for that.

Looks like a GLW to me. Some chicks grow faster than others. My EEs have always been quick and when next to a slow growing Brahma, you might have thought the Brahma was going to be smaller. Definitely not the case

This isn't the picture I was looking for but it demonstrates my point anyway. 4 chicks all the same age and all pullets. Slooow Sussex in front, average cuckoo Marans, one typical EE in back, and one ridiculous EE behind the Sussex. Their adult sizes ended up pretty close, actually, one just got there a lot sooner. And she did grow into that neck.
