Hi all! So I thought this hen was a California white. Her very first egg was white, but the last 2 have been a light blue almost greenish color. Positive the eggs are hers. Any guesses? (The white egg in the picture is wood, just in the pic for color comparison.) She is friendly and head hen, if that helps.. Thanks!

Sapphire splash maybe? That’s a hatchery hybrid, but they’re supposed to have more grey on them. She also sort of looks like what happened when I crossed a leghorn to a Plymouth Rock/ RIR mix, although the rooster looked a lot like his Plymouth father. Regardless, all three chicks from that pairing are white with one or two black dots placed asymmetrically on random parts of the body.

Here’s one of my baby roosters. But from his genetics, he’s probably carrying a brown or cream pigment gene. I do believe white feathers are dominant, so yours could be any kind of Leghorn mix.
