Hey y'all!

I've been researching and I cannot figure out what exactly you would call this pattern on my EE cockerel, Ezekiel. His pattern resembles that of an EE hen I used to have, but she was the common grayish-brown color. Ezekiel is almost entirely black and white, but some of his black is actually iridescent green and he has the tiniest amount of red feathers on his sides.

So what would his color and pattern be called?

The pattern is called Silver Columbian(or just Columbian as in Columbian Wyandottes) but from the looks of that bird, I would say that its incomplete Columbian pattern due to the partial restriction on the back.

I wouldn't call that a Columbian. The pattern on the feathers is wrong for it. I'd say it *could* be a mix.... BUT.... EE don't have specified patterns, because they're mixes. Usually their mix also mixes up their pattern, making it indistinguishable from what may have been there in the original stock.

Hence the term incomplete Columbian due to the heterozygosity of the columbian restrictor Co. The bird is clearly a mix no questions about it. it eb/eb, Co/co+, S/s+ at the very least.
