What is this creature?

My sister found this caterpillar that is short and snake like looking. She said it sticks to whatever you put it on but we can't figure out what it is.

It is... The creature that nightmares are made of. I don't know what it is otherwise, but-yech-that thing looks nasty.

Any help identifying this little booger would be appreciated! She has three very curious boys who ate awaiting identification too!

It looks like a slug of some sort, but im researching it.
Did your chickens eat it?

My sister does not have chickens. She just asked because she couldn't figure it out. She tried googling without any luck. Bizarre. I told her someone on Backyard Chickens will know!

I have been looking at many caterpillars and some slugs, not much luck.

Could it be a chrysalis or something? (It’s been mentioned already...but ew) lol
