Confirmed double yolk but how did it happen?
A double yolk usually happens when a hen ovulates and the ova (egg yolk) doesn't go into the infundibulum. Then when the hen ovulates again the both egg yolks travel down the oviduct. It can be caused by excessive daylight and other things.

This disturbance must of happened half way through the egg being laid, which explains the strange line, yes?
