What is this handsome little cockerel

Breed guesses for 8 week old cockerel. I got him locally with my batch of RIRs. He is handsome and easy to handle despite the fact I've been mostly hands off with my second batch of chicks. (My first batch of 4 are brats, lol, lesson learned)

I don't want to say what the lady told me he was because I'm not seeing it and don't want to sway the guesses. If better pictures are needed let me know.

Looks like a Wyandotte australorp mix to me. Pink feet, and a rose comb.

Pink feet and black feathers.

Ah, ok. The woman I got him from said he was a variety of Maran, but I have two mixes with Maran and I wasn't seeing it at all in the this chick. He has a chunkier, squatter build and the fluffy bottom was making me think of an Orpington.

Blue and black Orpington do have pink feet as well. Orpington and australorp are related. Marans do have pink feet and legs. Unfortunately you can't wait to see the color of eggs he lays. Which would help.

He’s a mixed breed. Without knowing possible parents, guessing is difficult since black is dominant and many breeds are black
