What is this? Hard protrusions under chick beak.

On one of my blue copper Maran chicks there is a small protrusion on the bottom of either side of beak. It is hard. Is it something I need to be concerned about?

Scab from rubbing on the feeder. Happens sometimes. The scabs are from sores that they can get if they rub on the feeder while eating. It usually goes away on it's own.

That's the biggest one I've seen though.
 
If it ends up getting bigger I'd worry. But you can just clean it, & apply non pain Relieving Triple Antibiotic ointment to it to keep it moist so it can heal properly. Maybe change feeders for awhile until healed.
