We got her from McMurray hatchery. She's almost 4 months old.

Thanks!

The catalog has Red Stars (they ARE red sex-links, right?) but they are just red. Why would it be white and red?

The only thing in the catalog cornish is the white cornish game hen, and she doesn't have that straddle look. By the way, her legs have a slight green tint. She sort of looks like the McMurray photo of a Phoenix hen, but the internet sites show hens that look entirely different. Any knowledge of this???

The hen has a peacomb, so she isn't a sexlink or phoenix.

If it was a sexlink it'd be a rooster due to the color but that is a pullet, plus sexlinks have a straight (Single) comb and yellow/white legs.

A phoenix is a long tailed fowl that descended for Onagadoris. Which reach tail lengths of i believe about 30 feet but im not sure on that, it could be 25 or longer. They have green/blue legs (Except for white varieties, they come white and yellow it appears) most of the time.. And also single comb.

This hen is probably a white laced red that came too light. (She is a cornish). http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Cornish/BRKCornish.html

But being she's from a hatchery you can't expect her stance, color, etc to be perfect and it's not unheard of that some hatchery stock DOES have crosses in them since they breed for quanity, not quality.. And they cross in other birds sometimes to increase productivity in the birds.

This bird is White Laced Red Cornish Mc Murray have them.It is not best quality but...it is from hatchery.
