to proove the wren theory wrong even more...
the cactus wren is 8 " tall and only in the southern parts of texas and other states over to the western lower bottom portion of the US. (brown with other colors long pointy beak)
the rock wren is 5 1/2 inches tall and is found throughout Cali, and all those other states up and down the western side of the US (brown with other colors- long poiny beak)
Teh Canyon Wren is 5 1/2 inches and is also found in the same areas pretty much as the rock wren (brown with other colors- loonng beak)
now the Carolina wren is in her area (as well as mine) however it's 6 inches tall, and brown with a bold white line from the base of it's beak the whole way to it's back shoulder
the bewicks wren is also in her area, however has the same sort of pattern as the carolina wren and is 5 1/2 inches tall
the house wren is almost all brown, looks more like a robin and is 5 inches tall long beak...it's in her area and mine as well
winter wren is 4 inches tall brown all over with ticks of white and tan, it winters in her range
the sedge wren is 4 1/2 incehs tall, a light tan with black splotches..not in her state
marsh wren, not in her state...brown, with very noticeabl white spots on its back and a white line from base of beak to back behind the eye
that is ALL of the US species of wrens
sorry not a wren lol
