What is this little girl?

After a raccoon attack killed one of my girls, I'm down to a lone hen and thinking of getting her a new companion. I'm considering this one at a shelter:

Looks like the photo was taking Sept 30th. Does anyone know what kind of chicken she is, and if in fact she actually is a she?

that hen might be a American game or it might not she is really pretty i would not want to see her go to the shelter and if you buy her a friend it doesn't have to be the same kind but it would be better for her and you because you dont want to have a really tinny bird with a really giant bird and you might just want to sell her so she might just make more than one friend she would have multiple friends and shed be in a better

Many are farm sanctuaries who are very choosy as to where the birdies go. I was going to adopt a Golden Phoenix roo one time from a shelter, but I decided it wouldn't be all that wise, considering I have 7 roosters already.

What kind of comb?? I agree with YOR, that is more than likely an oriental background game fowl. Should be a great bird to add to your flock!

tail angle is wrong for a bantam malay or shamo, but head shape is wrong for asil (or malay or shamo)... so I dunno.

She's an bantam oriental mutt.
