Not sure what the first one is, the 2nd one is not an Australorp. Comb is way off, they have single combs. Comb is really neat though

I think they're both mixed breed hens, to the point it's not really possible to tell what went into the mix. The colors, light leg feathering and mixed looking combs just say barnyard mix. But, they're pretty, sounds like they're both great layers, and they look nice and healthy. What more do you really need in a backyard hen? I'd take either of them in a heartbeat!

I have a hen exactly like the first one! She is LF. I believe she is a mix. Let me find some pictures really quick...

A standard sized chicken. She's only four months old, so she hasn't started laying yet. She's the only barnyard chicken this color, though. I was amazed to see we have almost the exact same bird!

Yeah! I got her and her sister from the Pre-K in my school, but she was the only one of her color in the whole hatch.
