What is this monster?!?!

I got a marble sized egg from a red star who just started laying. It had no yolk, just a weird black dot in the white. On the other end, there's a one year old Brahma hen I care for who always lays these gigantic goose eggs. Never a double yolk though. Can you tell us what you find in yours? I love the weird eggs lol.

I will definitely report back!! I'll have to force myself to crack it, I almost want to put it on a little stand and let everyone admire it, lol.

Did you offer her a ciggie maybe a nice stout drink after laying that beast? :)

Haha, she probably needed one!!

Forgot to report back, but we did crack it open and it was a double yolk. We had another more normal sized egg around the same time that was also a double yolk, and then a week or so later we got another beast sized egg like the previous one!

One of my silkie hens had an interesting glitch at one point... She laid a jelly egg, and a stray yolk the same day. I have never heard of a hen laying just a yolk before, and the jelly egg also had a yolk in it!

My dad walked in and stepped in the yolk as it was in front of the door and we were all confused by it. I thought it was poop at first and was super concerned, because... Well, whoever pooped like that must be in VERY bad health, especially since Peep-Peep, a young cockerel of mine, was determined to try and eat it too! But while cleaning it, I then realized it was yolk, not sick poop, and then found the jelly egg besides the nestbox. There was only one hen inside that day as the others had already laid theirs.

To make up for cleaning up the stay yolk, I opened up the jelly egg and put it in their food tray and let them have the yolk in that one. :p 3 days later, she laid a MASSIVE egg that turned out to be a double yolker, though haven't had any more glitches so far yet.
