Just noticed this at the bottom of her waddle today. It feels hard. She's active, eating, laying, and seems well.
I'm wondering if this is fowl pox. All of mine were vaccinated at 6 weeks old (per the seller). Is this a vaccine you do every year?
If it's fowl pox, can I vaccinate the others if they do not have any visible lesions or do I let it run its course?

Could be fowl pox, despite the fact that she was vaccinated. Or it could be a simple pecking injury that should heal fine on its own. As far as I know, you can vaccinate birds, regardless of whether they show any symptoms of the disease. I think that vaccination will prevent the other birds in the flock from becoming infected themselves (even though they have probably been exposed, too), but am not sure of this.
